Your translation
Get to know the KJV.
The King James Version is an English translation of the Bible first published in 1611, commissioned by King James I of England. It was created by a group of about 47 Church of England scholars who translated from Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek manuscripts available at the time. Known for its formal and poetic style, it has influenced English literature, culture, and Christian tradition for over 400 years.
