Your translation
Get to know the NRSV.
The New Revised Standard Version is an English translation of the Bible first published in 1989 by the National Council of Churches. It is a revision of the Revised Standard Version, created by a diverse group of scholars using the most reliable Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek manuscripts. The NRSV follows a word-for-word translation philosophy where possible, but with clear, inclusive, and modern language. It is widely used in academic study, worship, and by many Christian denominations worldwide.
